Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Carefully separate the triangles without tearing and arrange them in a circular pattern, with the points facing inward to create a ring shape that has a hole in the center.
  2. Layer the Fillings: On the wide end of each triangle, place a few slices of spicy pepperoni, then sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese. Add a pinch of Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and garlic powder over each portion to enhance flavor.
  3. Roll the Triangles: Starting at the wide end with the fillings, roll each triangle towards the center of the ring, encasing the ingredients inside. Once rolled, tuck the pointed end underneath the ring to secure the shape and prevent unrolling during baking.
  4. Add Cheese and Seasoning on Top: If using, gently brush the entire ring with egg wash to achieve a glossy, golden finish. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top, and add a little more Italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes for added flavor and an attractive appearance.
